Don Fausto is originally from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. In 1977, At the age of 14 he left his home town to look for work in Monterrey, Mexico. Soon after, he decided to try his luck in the United States and moved to San Antonio, where as he says, “no positive results there”! So the same year he took a job as a dish washer in Oxnard CA and stayed there for the next 6 years.
As Don Fausto was always a hard worker, him and his wife took a job in the strawberry fields, only with the dream of providing a better life for their family. He later on became a foreman there and followed the farming seasons all across country throughout the year.
Passionate about the food industry, he decided to take a part time job at a local Mexican restaurant. While working there he discovered that, not only was this industry his passion, but he also discovered his true ability in the restaurant business.
In 1998 and with a dream of opening his own Mexican restaurant, Don Fausto decided to move his family to Las Vegas, NV, and in the same year he obtained a Mexican fast-food franchise for the next 3 years.
Finally, the pay-off to true and hard work. In 2001, Don Fausto opened the doors of his very own restaurant “Fausto’s Mexican-Grill” on the corner of Horizon Ridge and Eastern Ave in Henderson, NV.
Today, Don Fausto has 4 different locations to better serve the community. Three in Henderson, NV and one in South West Las Vegas NV.
As this is Don Fausto’s true passion, he never stepped back to let his employees do the hard work. He still cooks and serves food to his customers himself, currently at the #2 Location. As Don Fausto states, the Fausto’s team has become a big Mexican family!
